The church is a living organism. In the physical body, the hand moves when the brain says to. So too the members of Jesus’ spiritual body takes direction from Him as our Head. Jesus gives each member gifts and talents, making himself alive within his church. He equips his people to love one another, and to serve in unity his kingdom. This is Body Life.

The church has been the most powerful force for good on the face of the earth. It has been light in the midst of the blackest darkness, a preserving and seasoning salt in a corrupt and unsavory society. This has been true despite the church's obvious flaws, hypocrisies, sins, and excesses. A paradox? Absolutely! Many of God's most wonderful truths are described as mysteries. Within the seeming contradictions of God's church reside some of the most exhilarating, life-changing truths of all.
