We are approaching the end of our studies in Jeremiah. These closing chapters move a bit faster than the opening ones, and can be covered more rapidly. The fascinating thing about these studies is the unmistakable parallel to our own time. As we have been going through this book we have seen the approaching death of a nation. And we see many similar signs of approaching death in the United States of America in our own day. In two years we will celebrate our two-hundredth birthday as a nation.
